Homemade healthy granola

Have you ever been shopping and had a look at the ingredients list on a granola box? Well, so many of them contain sugar as the first ingredient! Fear not though, this granola recipe is much tastier than any store bought one and is much healthier too.

You can add in your favourite nut or berry and make it personal to your taste. Use it to top smoothie bowls ,have it as a snack or pour over your favourite plant milk and top with some frozen blueberries ... say goodbye forever to boring unfulfilling breakfasts!



Ingredients ~

  • 2 cups of oats

  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds

  • 1/2 cup of brazil nuts

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

  • few tbsp sunflower seeds

  • 3 chopped dates

  • 4 tbsp of nut butter

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 3 tbsp cacao powder

  • splash of plant milk


Instructions ~

  • Pre - heat oven to 180 degrees C.

  • Mix all of the above ingredients in a large bowl.

  • Line a large tray with baking parchment and press the mixture down firmly in the tray.

  • Bake for 30 minutes turning once halfway through ~ keep checking on it.

  • Leave to cool fully before transferring into a jar, it will crisp up more when fully cooled.

  • Store in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks.
