Healthy gooey flapjacks


These delicious gooey flapjacks taste amazing and they are packed full of nutrition with no refined sugar and they are gluten free ... what more could you want! You can tweak the added ingredients to include your favourite berry or nut and make them personal to you. Enjoy them for breakfast or a snack with your favourite hot drink.


Ingredients ~

  • 2 cups oats (gluten free optional)

  • 2 tbsp gluten free flour, I used buckwheat

  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

  • 1/2 cup raisins

  • 2 tbsp cacao nibs

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • dash of plant milk, I used almond

  • 1 flax egg (2 tbsp flax seed with 6 tbsp water)


Instructions ~

  • Pre - heat the oven to 180 degrees C

  • Mix all of the above ingredients into a large bowl

  • Add more maple syrup if you like flapjacks extra gooey

  • Placed in a lined tray and bake for 20 mins/until golden brown on top

  • Cut into slices and enjoy
